The Story of Agence Bantoo Communication: A human, cultural and digital adventure

It all started in 2018 with www.camerounartsetculture.info, an independent website launched by Alain Brice Talla Defo, then a young multimedia journalist passionate about Cameroonian art and culture.

The goal was to give a voice to artists who did not have the means to be heard, a musician from Yaoundé, a dancer from Douala, a filmmaker from Ngaoundéré…

The site quickly became a digital reference for exclusive interviews, profiles of emerging artists, reviews on cinema, Afro fashion, literature among other things.

It was also the quintessential Cameroonian cultural agenda.

Thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers, Cameroon Arts and Culture Info has reached thousands of readers in Cameroon and elsewhere.

Later settling in Ottawa, Canada, we discovered a vibrant Cameroonian and African diaspora, often underrepresented in mainstream media. Drawing on our experience in digital strategy, audiovisual production, cultural branding, and inclusive marketing, we took on the challenge of bringing African culture to Canada, creating and strengthening communities around this ideal, building brands, and delivering unforgettable immersive experiences.
